My teaching and mentorship practices foreground care, solidarity, and accountability, while guiding students in their engagement with social issues. I map mutual aid as a theory and practice onto the classroom and create a learning environment where all members of the classroom care for each other and experience the classroom as a learning community. I do so by attending to differences among students and valuing each student’s contribution.
